The Institute of SeedTechnology at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University was established with acommitment to excellence in education, research, and innovation in the field ofseed science. Recognizing that quality seed is the backbone of sustainable agriculture,our institute strives to produce skilled professionals and generate scientificknowledge that supports the growth of the national seed sector.

The University Grants Commission(UGC) approved the Institute of Seed Technology to offer MS and PhD degreesfrom 2014, marking a significant milestone in our academic journey. Since then,we have continued to strengthen our postgraduate programs through advancedcoursework, modern laboratory facilities, and research opportunities alignedwith national agricultural needs.

Through dedicated teaching,hands-on training, and strong partnerships with national and internationalorganizations, we remain committed to contributing to agricultural developmentand ensuring food security in Bangladesh. I extend my heartfelt gratitude tothe departments and faculty members who contribute their invaluable expertiseto the success of our programs.
